About me and my practice
Online sessions allow you to join from the safety and comfort of your own environment, free from geographical limits, and with the flexibility to suit your schedule.
While I draw on elements from various psychological approaches in my work, the most essential pillar for me is an equal, reciprocal relationship between us. You won't be sitting across from an "all-knowing" expert, but walking alongside a companion who accompanies you on your journey.
Person-Centred Approach: This forms the foundation of our work. You will receive complete acceptance, empathy, and a non-judgmental presence, allowing you to feel safe even with your most difficult emotions.
Transactional Analysis (TA) Elements: Using TA, we bring your internal processes and relational patterns into focus and make them understandable. We examine how you operate in daily life and why certain situations recur.
DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) Skills: You will learn practical, actionable techniques for emotion regulation and managing internal distress. You will develop tools to stay grounded when overwhelmed by intense emotions.
Experience
or three years, I worked within the NHS in the mental health field. In my role, I supported clients struggling with complex emotional difficulties, who had often been diagnosed with personality disorders.
Through my work facilitating community support groups for the SUN (Service User Network), it became clear that diagnoses of personality disorders often mask severe trauma and neurodivergence. With my own autism diagnosis, I bring both professional expertise and deep personal lived experience to supporting neurodivergent (ADHD, autism) clients.
